FAQ's

How does your pricing work?

We spend many hours searching for beautiful rugs that we can offer you at an affordable price. A number of factors go into determining our prices: quality, age, style, size, and condition are all considered, as well as our cost to purchase and prepare the rug. We've scoured the internet and are confident that our rugs are some of the most affordable on the market. However, if you see a rug on our site that you love but is over your budget, feel free to reach out and make an offer!

Where do you source your rugs?

We have spent years finding the best suppliers straight out of Turkey and southern Asia. Trial and error, research, and constant education have taught us the right questions to ask, the right things to look for, and the right prices for our rugs. Occasionally we find rugs in thrift stores or estate sales and it's always exciting when we can shop in person!

What does "vintage" mean?

Most of our rugs are anywhere from 50 to 100 years old and are truly vintage or antique items. As such, they do show wear and imperfections. That's part of what we love about them and we don't try to hide any potential flaws. If there are major issues (a hole or tear) we usually include an extra disclosure but general wear and small repairs should be expected.

Is shipping included?

Shipping is additional and is calculated at checkout based on your zip code and the weight of the rug. This allows us to only pass along the true cost of shipping and not have to mark up the rug enough to cover the highest potential shipping costs. Trust us, this ends up being less expensive for you. We offer several shipping options so that you can select the lowest price and we have discounts with all major carriers. If you're local (Rome, GA) and would rather pick up, message us and we'll give you a code to remove shipping costs.

Do you edit your rug photos?

No. All photos on our website are taken on an iPhone with no filter and in natural daylight to best capture their true colors. A rug's colors vary greatly depending on the lighting and the space (not to mention across computer screens). If you plan to place a rug in a room with less sunlight, expect the rug to appear darker in person. We're always happy to send additional photos upon request.

What should I look for when buying a rug?

In addition to color, style and size here are a couple of tips.

  1. Check the back of the rug. You want to see the pattern on the back side to make sure the rug is truly hand-knotted and authentic. You'll also be able to tell the tightness of the weave which may influence pricing.
  2. Look for a photo/description of the pile. Glancing at photos can be deceiving. Some rugs have a full, thick, plush pile. These are rugs that are soft and that you can sink your feet into. They're usually much more expensive. Most vintage rugs are worn down over time (and some started out lower pile to begin with.) A rug with low to no pile will feel rougher to the touch. There's not a right or wrong choice - different rugs are better for different purposes and locations, however, you want to have an idea of what to expect. We include at least one close up photo of the pile and a statement in the description.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes! If you want to pass along a beautiful rug but don't know which one they would love, or if you just believe in our mission and want to share it with someone who gets it like you do, you can purchase a gift card here.

Do you allow returns?

We do our best to capture the true vintage nature of each rug we purchase and kindly ask you to review all photos to make sure you know what you're buying before purchase. In the rare instance that a rug isn't quite what you expected and you'd like to return it, please reach out within 3 business days to request a refund. If approved, we'll send you a return shipping address and the item must be shipped within 2 days. Once we ensure the rug is in the original received condition, we'll refund your purchase minus a 25% restocking fee.
