Looking for a rug but can't quite find what you need? I'd love to help source a rug that makes all your dreams come true. Here's how it works:
1. We chat about your needs. Be prepared to answer four main questions - size, color scheme, style, and budget. I'll get a good idea of what you're looking for and start my sourcing magic.
2. I'll curate a collection of options that meet your needs and send them your way for feedback until we find the one. You'll receive a total of nine rugs in three rounds (unless we hit the mark sooner). I'll send the first round of three rugs within 24-48 hours unless otherwise discussed. Best case scenario, you fall in love with one of them! But, totally fine if we haven't quite nailed it. Getting feedback on what you love or don't love will help me hone in the next round. If the next three still don't quite hit the mark, I'll send three final rugs for you to review.
After you've received nine rugs, you have three options.
- Select one of these rugs and it's yours! It usually takes around 2 weeks to receive after you finalize your purchase.
- If you feel like we're close, but haven't quite found the one, I'll continue to provide three options with a $50 nonrefundable deposit per round. That deposit can be applied to this custom rug, or any other rug in our shop, but must be used within 30 days of deposit.
- If we're not getting any closer and you still haven't found one you love, you can walk away, no hard feelings. This is a big purchase and I would never want you to buy something you don't love.
3. A few disclaimers to make sure our expectations are the same:
- Vintage rugs are, by nature, imperfect. I source rugs with a wide range of wear, but you can expect to see evidence that these rugs have been loved. If you have preferences regarding the condition, I'll keep those in mind as I'm sourcing. Be aware that rugs in pristine condition usually come with a higher price tag. Personally, I LOVE the natural wear that's visible on vintage rugs.
- Sizing on vintage rugs can be wonky. I'll send you options within 12 inches of your request on either end. (Note that even new rugs aren't always exact with their sizing.)
- Once you select a custom sourced rug, I'll send you an invoice through Fig & Loom. I'll inspect the rug upon arrival and make sure it meets the quality standards I expect. If there are any surprises, I'll communicate with you before I ship it to you. Note that I do my best to communicate information about the pile (plush or low), condition, and wear to minimize surprises. Color is often the hardest to accurately capture and varies by lighting and placement. All custom rug purchases are final.
